L/L Research Gathering 2007

A Time of Awakening

Carla Rueckert-McCarty spoke at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, MI, August 10 and 11. Two of her talks were aired over the internet on BBS Radio.

Carla’s first talk, “The Keys to Unknowing,” which aired on Friday, August 10 at 8:00 pm EDT, focuses on the inner, metaphysical shift that is now occurring within us as our planet sails into its shift from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius at the winter solstice of 2012.

Her second speech, “Are We There Yet?” aired Saturday August 11 at 2:00 pm EDT, looks at the physical shift our planet is making now and why this transition is much rougher than usual.

Carla’s talks are being transcribed. You can find them in the Speeches area of the Carla’s Niche section. The original broadcasts will be able to be listened to when they become available in the archives of BBS Radio.

Original announcement of the L/L Gathering at Mackinac Island

Carla will join William Henry for a gathering at the Grand Hotel—which is located on Mackinac Island, off the coast of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula—to talk about the present, ongoing shift in consciousness. There is absolutely no charge from L/L Research or from William Henry to attend this event.

The event, being held at the elegant (and expensive!) Grand Hotel, will kick off at 3:00 pm on Friday, August 10 and will conclude on Sunday, August 12 at 11:00 am. This destination, voted one of the Top 100 hotels in the world, is truly one of a kind.

As of the first week in July, there are approximately five rooms left at the Grand Hotel under our group rate. The cost of breakfast and dinner is included in the cost of the room, as are all tips. There is a good exercise course outdoors as well as a golf course and a stable for horseback riding. The hotel also boasts a spa with such delicious and delectable luxuries as (be still, Carla’s heart!) facials, massage and a full-service hair and nail salon. One can rent bicycles or a carriage to drive along miles of improved lanes. Or, if one feels lazy, one can take a carriage tour and rest back to enjoy the bucolic glory of living on the water.

To register for the event, contact our “Cruise Director” Robert Riedel at: riedel.robert@yahoo.com. There are two different ways you will register with Robert, depending upon where you are staying. In either case there are no fees to pay us or William Henry, but in the first case money will be collected for your room if staying at The Grand Hotel. These two ways are:

1. Lodging at the Grand Hotel

The Grand Hotel is totally booked for the weekend of our event. If you would like to stay there, you will need to book one of the remaining five rooms through Robert. The prices for our group rate are: $295 single occupancy, $370 double occupancy/night for Category I. Category II rooms are $240 and $375, respectfully. (Category II rooms are larger.) Please contact Robert for further information.

2. Lodging elsewhere

If you are interested in saving money, there is an excellent way to do so! You can shop around and lodge at one of the other hotels on the island, or stay off the island at one of the many available hotels in Mackinaw City or St. Ignace. We have a block of rooms reserved off the island at the Clarion Beachfront Inn, in Mackinaw City, adjacent to the Arnold Ferry Line Dock. To book a room at the Clarion, go to: www.mackinawreservations.com/clarion, and use the word “DC Forum.”

If you do stay off the island, you will still need to register with Robert. Simply send Robert a message letting him know that you will be attending and he will confirm your registration for the weekend! Also, please do let us know if your plans change and you are forced to cancel, as we will need to know how many people to expect.

For those staying on the mainland at Mackinaw City or St. Ignace, there is a $21 round-trip fee for the ferry per day, a 15 to 20 minute ride, and to protect their actual paying customers, the Grand Hotel charges $12 per person for non-guests to enter the hotel via their famous front Porch, which is the biggest in the world! To see more information about the three ferries operating to and from the island, look to the table at the bottom of this page.

For those seekers who would really like to include more in a weekend than study and meditation, this travel destination seems just about perfect! One thing to note is that you must be willing to dress formally for two evenings. After 6 PM, The Grand Hotel requires a coat and tie for men and dresses, suits or pants-suits for women. However. the menu looks worth the trouble of dressing up a bit!
