The spiritual journey is, as the Beatles said, a “long and winding road”. Once that we are conscious that we are on such a journey, there is no turning back. We are propelled forward by our will to seek the truth and sustained on the journey by our faith that we will find that which we seek. So what, exactly, is it that we are seeking? What is this truth that is so elusive?

Ra said that the seeker seeks the One Infinite Creator. Further, that the One Creator has made all of creation for one single reason: to know Itself, more fully, with greater variety, and with more intensity. The Creator has made all of the stars, the galaxies, the planets, and beings like us, and also very unlike us, and has given all free will. As we travel the octave of the densities of light back to the Creator, our free will choices reveal more of the Creator in everything around us and within us as well. Those same free will choices that the Creator has given to all beings, give the Creator more knowledge of Itself. So there is a kind of love affair between us and the One Creator. Each yearns for the other’s presence and delights in mutual companionship.

There are nearly 7 billion people on planet Earth, and no two are alike. And when you think about it, Earth is just a tiny speck of dust orbiting on the very edge a minor galaxy in an infinity of galaxies, and yet Ra assures us that no two people anywhere in this infinity of beings are alike. Each of us is a unique being made out of love and light, and each has something unique to offer the One Creator that will aid the Creator in Its knowing of Itself. So, how is this journey made? What is the process of seeking the truth that we now undertake on this Earth?

While we realize that we are all part of the One Creator, we must also realize that there is a veil of forgetting that separates our conscious mind from our subconscious mind. So our unity with the One Creator is hidden from our conscious minds. Our subconscious mind can see this unity, and has access to all of the knowledge of the universe through its connections to our racial mind, then to our planetary mind, and, finally, to the cosmic mind of the One Infinite Creator. So as seekers of truth, we are attempting to gain access to our own subconscious minds, and the great library of information that exists in the roots of our tree of mind. We are looking to reclaim our celestial heritage as we search our subconscious mind for the records of our beginnings, our being, and our becoming.

Before this incarnation began, each of us made pre-incarnative choices that will become a part of our unique path to the One Creator. These choices may, in some cases, reflect our desire to balance karma, or actions from previous incarnations, so that we achieve an overall balance in our lives. Karma is not a bad thing, by the way. Karma is experience, and all experience teaches more about who we are and what we can become.

Some of these pre-incarnative choices will also have the effect of balancing our energy centers, or chakras, so that we will be able to withstand the impact of the light into which we will walk, when this life is at its end, and we are gauging our harvestability to the fourth density of love and understanding. All pre-incarnative choices, regardless of the specific reasons for their choosing, have some relationship to learning to give and receive love, to open the heart, the green-ray energy center. Our third density exists for this very purpose: to love not only those people that we know but to love all beings everywhere because we recognize the divinity of all beings and all things. All things are the One Infinite Creator in various shapes and sizes, forms and formless, known and unknown, near and far.

One of these forms of the One Creator is what Ra called Wanderers. Wanderers are a special kind of seeker of truth here on Earth. They are from higher densities than our third density, and each one has come to help Earth in its graduation, or harvest, into the fourth density of love and understanding. Each Wanderer goes through the same forgetting process as everyone else on Earth. Most of you here could well be Wanderers, as Ra said that it was primarily Wanderers who would be attracted to the Law of One.

Wanderers have three reasons for coming to Earth at this time. First, just by being here the Wanderer lightens the heavy vibrations of adversary relations and disharmony that are so common on Earth. Earth has experienced thousands of years of wars and the slaughter of millions of its population, and these gruesome experiences have become a part of our Earth’s vibratory patterns. Wanderers help to lighten Earth’s vibrations just by bringing their light and love-filled vibrations here. All that they have to do is simply be.

Secondly, each Wanderer has a specific skill to offer on Earth. Some may be musicians who inspire us with song, healers that help to make us whole again, or poets who capture the essence of our hearts in the practice of their art. They may also moms & dads who raise a new generation of spiritual seekers, or they may even be homeless vagabonds on the street who share their love and light with those who have no home, no family, and no hope. Since every place on Earth needs love and light, you are likely to find a Wanderer in any possible place that you can think of, and in any capacity that touches the hearts of human beings.

Thirdly, on a more personal level, Wanderers passing into or through the sixth density, may find it necessary to use Earth’s third density to balance either their love or their wisdom, as the sixth density work involves balancing love and wisdom to produce a greater power to be of service to others. Any Wanderer who comes to Earth, and penetrates its veil of forgetting to the degree necessary to take up its pre-incarnative choices, will greatly accelerate its progress in its home density, as catalyst in the third density is 100 times as intense as it is in any of the higher densities. As hard as it is to be on Earth for many Wanderers, because of Earth’s difficult vibrations, the opportunities for growth here are everywhere abundant.

Now, let’s examine some ways that the seeker of truth can access its own subconscious mind, and receive illumination on the spiritual journey. First of all, let’s look at MEDITATION. From the beginning of the Confederation of Planets in the Service of the One Infinite Creator’s contact with our group back in 1962, their primary suggestion for all seekers who wanted to advance on this path was to meditate. It has always been suggested by each of the various Confederation entities that we have communicated with, that by entering into meditation we enter into communion with the One Infinite Creator. Praying is considered a means of talking to the Creator, and meditation is considered the means of listening to the Creator. However, we do not always listen with our ears—although that can occur too. Most often we listen with our hearts, and our minds, and with our feelings. It usually doesn’t take too long for the sensitive seeker to feel the all-embracing Presence of the One Creator that calms the mind, quiets the emotions, comforts the soul and answers unasked questions by providing insights, intuitions, images, and direction for the seeker to use on the spiritual journey.

In my meditative practice I have found that it is often helpful to program, or guide, the conscious mind into meditation, by preceding the meditation with a short inspirational reading, or a heartfelt prayer, or chanting or Oming. This is like entraining the conscious mind into relaxation, and then it also becomes a signal to the subconscious mind to become receptive to the conscious mind’s moving deeper and deeper into the subconscious. When one becomes practiced enough at meditation, it is also possible to establish communication with one’s personal guides, with the Higher Self, and with other inner teachers.

As Ra said in Session 49, question 8, “The passive meditation involving the clearing of the mind, the emptying of the mental jumble which is characteristic of mind complex activity among your peoples, is efficacious for those whose goal is to achieve an inner silence, as a base from which to listen to the Creator. This is an useful and helpful tool, and is by far the most generally useful type of meditation, as opposed to contemplation or prayer.”

Another tool that we can use on our spiritual path is our DREAMS as a means for contacting our subconscious mind. Dreams are a very quick and easy way to access your subconscious mind. In Session 86, question 7, Ra says, “Dreaming is an activity of communication through the veil of the unconscious mind and the conscious mind. The nature of this activity is wholly dependent upon the situation regarding the energy center blockages, activations, and crystallizations of a given mind/body/spirit complex.”

Everyone dreams every night, but most people don’t remember their dreams because our culture gives them no value. But if you can convince your subconscious mind that you sincerely want to unblock your energy centers, or chakras, you can get symbolic messages on a regular basis, that will give you directions to take and thoughts to consider on your spiritual path.

The first thing that you need to do is to convince your subconscious mind that you value it, that you value dreams, and that you are sincere. One way to do that is to develop a ritual before you go to bed each night that makes these statements clearly, with heartfelt emotions, and then keep a notebook, pen, and small flashlight next to your bed from then on. And just as a hint on technique, you might want to put a sock over the end of the flashlight, so that it doesn’t wake you completely after you remember a dream. Then perhaps you can go back to sleep and have another dream.

If you can program yourself to wake up right after having the dream and write it down, then you will remember it better than if you don’t write it down until you get up for the day. Whenever you are able to write it down, write down every detail that you can remember. Then when you do get up for the day, analyze your dream as the first thing that you do, while it is as fresh in your mind as possible. Now there are lots of books on the market that give you the vocabulary to interpret your dreams. My favorite is the little paperback book by Dick McLeester titled “Welcome to the Magic Theatre”. But you can use any book that “feels” right to you. Or, if you are adventurous and precocious, you can develop your own dream vocabulary. As Ra said in Session 95, question 18: “There is what might be called a partial vocabulary of the dreams due to the common heritage of all mind/body/spirit complexes. Due to each entity’s unique incarnational experiences, there is an overlay which grows to be a larger and larger proportion of the dream vocabulary as the entity gains experience.”

Again, I’ll use myself as an example, and share some of my dream vocabulary so that you can see what I’m talking about. Whenever I find myself in any kind of vehicle in a dream, I see the vehicle as my life, and the portion of the dream that is outside of the vehicle, represents where I am going in my life and the nature of the experiences that I am having. If I find myself in a building, I see the building as my mind, and the contents of the building represent different facets of my mind, that are being used in my life at this time. If I have a dream with a woman that I do not know and who exercises authority in the dream, I see this figure as my subconscious mind itself, the High Priestess of the tarot. If I see a male that I do not know, and who exercises authority in the dream, I see it as my Higher Self. If I see a female or male that I do know, then it is likely that the message concerns the action and ambience that we share in the dream. After a while of working with your dreams, you will get a feel for what the images and symbols in your dreams represent for you. So, let us all dream on!

Our next tool on the road to enlightenment is JOURNALING OR ESSAYING. The word essay comes from the Latin word, exagere—to drive out. What you are driving out when you use essaying, or journaling, as a spiritual tool is your inner wisdom, your knowledge that may come from your conscious mind, but which has been forgotten for a while. The knowledge also may be information from your subconscious mind, that you have not fully thought of before writing about it in the present moment. Essaying can be kind of like automatic writing where you channel from deeper levels of your conscious mind, and then from various levels of your subconscious mind. Of course, you are, hopefully, also keeping a dream journal, so conscious journaling might begin by exploring what you have found helpful in your dreams, or what is still puzzling you.

As you go through your daily round of activities, you may come across catalyst or problems that keeps repeating in your experience, and you don’t know why. Discussing this situation in a journal, is a good way to get some insight from your subconscious . Plus, as I said before, we all have pre-incarnative choices that we have made, that point us in a certain direction, so that we can learn these lessons. The catalyst that comes our way will keep repeating until we get the message, or if we can’t get it mentally, then it will be given to the body in the form of a distortion or a disease that symbolically represents the lesson. In Session 81, question 14, Ra reminds us, “The body is the creature of the mind and is the instrument of manifestation for the fruits of mind and spirit. Therefore, you may see the body as providing the athanor through which the alchemist manifests gold.”

So the body is kind of the last resort for the subconscious mind to get the attention of the conscious mind, when important catalyst has not been consciously recognized. When that catalyst shows up in the body as a disease or distortion, the mind of the conscious seeker of truth is far more likely to notice this, and begin to work the puzzle of what the disease represents as catalyst, that has not yet been learned. When the lesson has been learned, the body has produced fruit or gold, which is its job as an athanor. An “athanor,” by the way, is a furnace that maintains a steady heat for a long time, and Ra’s likening the body to an athanor, suggests that the heat of the emotions, and the potential agony of experience can teach us valuable lessons. Many of our lessons in third density involve dealing with seeming trauma. Again, working with the subconscious mind through dreams and essaying is a good way to keep up with the lessons that are coming our way.

Another technique that I learned years ago is called NEURO-DRAMA. This is a technique that is used in conjunction with dream analysis and essaying. The theory here is that the human brain is programmed to circuit consciousness forward into the dormant frontal lobes, when the culturally conditioned blockages have been removed. Your frontal lobes make up 3/8 of your brain, from your ears to your eyes. This is the part of the brain that is dormant in most people. Ra suggested that it will be used much more in the fourth density.

We can discover these blockages, primarily, by working with our dreams, if we do not already have conscious memory of childhood experiences that gave us this anti-life, negative programming. When we either consciously remember being negatively programmed as a child, or have a dream that reveals this programming, then our next step is to write about it. Journal as much as necessary to see where the programming came from, how it has affected you in your life, and then re-write the script of how it occurred using friends to play the adults that taught you to block your energy, your self-expression, your love of life.

Then re-enact the traumatic programming, but this time you will stand up for yourself in a way that you could not as a child, because as a child you did not know that you had the right to be you, to love life, and to be unique. So in the neuro-drama shout, scream, cry—get all the negative emotions out. It only takes one such negative programming to sap your energy away from your true potential for your entire life. If you have such a negative programming, and if you can identify it and release it through neuro-drama, you may find that your frontal lobes—your indigo-ray energy center– come alive and that you feel more joy, are more creative, more loving of life, and a better problem-solver than you have ever been before. This is what Ra had to say about the purpose of the frontal lobes In Session 61, question 13: “The primary mental/emotive condition of this large area of the so-called brain, is joy or love in its creative sense. Thus, the energies which we have discussed in relationship to the pyramids — all of the healing, the learning, the building, and the energizing — are to be found in this area. This is the area tapped by the adept. This is the area which, working through the trunk and root of mind, makes contact with intelligent energy, and through this gateway, intelligent infinity.”

Our next technique for accelerating our growth is the mated relationship. One of the most powerful ways of polarizing in the positive sense and advancing rapidly upon the spiritual journey is the MATED RELATIONSHIP. Ra describes this process in Session 84, question 22: “It was the intention of the original Logos that entities mate with one another in any fashion which caused a greater polarization. It was determined, after observation of the process of many Logoi, that polarization increased many fold if the mating were not indiscriminate. Consequent Logoi thusly preserved a bias towards the mated relationship, which is more characteristic of more disciplined personalities and of what you may call higher densities.”

The reason that the mated relationship is so effective as a tool for rapid spiritual growth, is because of the constant producing and processing of catalyst between the mated pair. Obviously, it is most helpful if both partners are on the spiritual path together in a conscious fashion. Sharing the seeking process in each facet of the life experience is a blessing to both mates, as the love between them deepens and the heart is opened to express not only mated love but unconditional love for all people and things. Then both can more easily look at the difficulties, and disagreements that occur between any two people as food for growth, or as “grist for the mill” as Baba Ram Dass said.

The mated relationship is also the perfect place to share sexual energy exchanges, that are one of the most powerful means whereby vital energy may be transferred from the male to the female and from the female to the male. Ra defined vital energy as the energies of the mind, the body, and the spirit being used in a spiritual sense. When both mates dedicate the love-making to seeking the One Creator, the experience becomes one which then moves from the physical reality, into the realms of the spirit and enhances the spiritual vitality of both partners.

As Ra said in Session 84, question 22: “The great key to blue, indigo, and finally, that great capital of the column of sexual energy transfer, violet energy transfers, is the metaphysical bond or distortion which has the name among your peoples of unconditional love. In the blue-ray energy transfer the quality of this love is refined in the fire of honest communication and clarity; this normally takes a substantial portion of your space/time to accomplish, although there are instances of matings so well refined in previous incarnations, and so well remembered, that the blue ray may be penetrated at once. This energy transfer is of great benefit to the seeker, in that all communication from this seeker is, thereby, refined and the eyes of honesty and clarity look upon a new world. Such is the nature of blue-ray energy, and such is one mechanism of potentiating and crystallizing it.”

Ra said that there was also energy of the indigo and the violet ray that could further enhance sexual energy transfers, but they could not violate our free will by speaking of them, as Carla and I were working in those areas, and it was necessary for us to learn by our own efforts if what we learned was to carry any weight in our total beingness. We also discovered, by chance, that sexual energy exchanges the night before a Ra session, would significantly extend the length of the session, as it was Carla’s vital energy that Ra used to fuel their contact with us, and which a sexual energy exchange between Carla and me enhanced.

Another technique of advancing on the spiritual path is what all of you have done right here, and that is to JOIN A SPIRITUAL GROUP. Two heads are better than one. Three better than two, and so forth. Remember what Ra said in Session 83, question 17: “Those who of like mind together seek, shall far more surely find.” We all feed off of each other’s energy. We are like musicians jamming together with spiritual principles. It is such a comfort and an inspiration to travel the road of seeking with good friends. It reminds us that we are never alone. We have companions, both physical and unseen, that join us on this long and winding road. We are all teachers, and we are all students. Each person in this room has some information that everyone else can benefit from. No one knows it all. No one can know it all. We all need each other to help bring each other home.

The last technique that I would like to share with you to enhance your spiritual journey, are THE BALANCING EXERCISES that Ra gave us. They are an invaluable tool for moving the intelligent energy, or prana, of the Creator upward along our energy centers. They help us to not only learn the lessons that we have chosen before our incarnations began, but they also help us to process all other catalyst that we may experience in our lives. Our path to the One Infinite Creator is, in large part, literally re-membering all of the qualities which make up the Creator. As Carla used to say, we are all 360 degree beings. As the Creator, we are all things. As Ra said in Session 5, question 2, “It is not for a being of polarity in the physical consciousness to pick and choose among attributes, thus building the roles that cause blockages and confusions in the already-distorted mind complex. Each acceptance smooths part of the many distortions, that the faculty you call judgment engenders.”

This means that we must be able to accept ourselves for having the total human experience within our beings. We are the thief, the rapist, the murderer as well as the saint, the healer, and the nurturing mother. Ra called all of the people that are around us our “other selves”. In Session 1, question 10 Ra said, “You must understand that the distinction between yourself and others is not visible to us. We do not consider that a separation exists, between the consciousness-raising efforts of the distortion which you project as a personality, and the distortion which you project as an other personality.”

As conscious seekers of truth, we all attempt to remain centered in love as we move through our days on Earth. But each day brings challenges which knock us off of our center, and they could be positive or negative challenges. Any catalyst that knocks us off of our center of feeling love for everyone and everything, needs to be balanced with its opposite.

The meditation at the end of the day is the best time to accomplish the balancing of these challenges. Ra uses the example of impatience and patience to give us an idea of what they are talking about. If you experienced impatience during your day, then in meditation you would mentally re-experience the situation which brought about that response in you. Then magnify it to be ridiculously huge. After you have done that, then for just an instant image its opposite: patience. Then allow the feeling of patience to become as large in your inner field of vision as is the impatience. Then accept yourself for having both of these means by which you may know yourself better, and that the Creator may know Itself, as being contained within you. Ra stated the basic concept in motion here is that “It is the nature of distortion, that in order to balance distortion, one must first accentuate it.”

There are many, many qualities that a person will encounter in the life experience that will require balance. Ra, themselves, say that they too continue this balancing process, upon an infinitely subtler level. I will give you a couple of examples of how I do my balancing exercises on a daily basis, just to give you an idea of what we are talking about. I am very disciplined, so I need to balance that discipline with being carefree. If I did not balance my discipline, I could become distorted in the way of too much control and being rigid. As Ra said, too much order, by its very nature, is negatively oriented. Balancing strict discipline with being carefree keeps me more loving and flexible. However, if I were predominantly carefree, I would need to balance that with discipline, in order to be more effective in my energy expenditures and work accomplished.

Another of my characteristics that needs balancing is my hermit nature. I love being alone, so I need to balance my solitary nature with being more social. If I did not balance my love of solitude, I might become too separate from others, and that would also tend toward the negative path. Once again though, if I were overbalanced towards being social, I would need to balance that with solitude in order to do inner, spiritual work of self-analysis and reflection.

Other qualities that I balance regularly are giving/receiving, pride/humility, being/doing, inner journey/outer world, frustration/acceptance and grief/gratitude.

So as you are using the balancing exercises to process catalyst, you are balancing your energy centers, as I said before, so that when you go through the death process, and walk into the light at harvest, your energy centers will be able to withstand the impact of the light. In addition, you are unblocking your energy centers, so that during your life the intelligent energy, or prana, from the Logos can move higher and higher up your energy centers. Eventually we are looking for this rising of the kundalini to reach the indigo-ray energy center, where it meets the inner fire of the One Creator, and the experience of enlightenment or union with the One Creator is had by the seeker.

As Ra says in Session 57, question 33: “The seeker seeks the One. This One is to be sought, as we have said, by the balanced and self-accepting self, aware both of its apparent distortions and its total perfection. Resting in this balanced awareness, the entity then opens the self to the universe, which it is. The light energy of all things may then be attracted by this intense seeking, and wherever the inner seeking meets the attracted cosmic prana, realization of the One takes place. The purpose of clearing each energy center, is to allow that meeting place to occur at the indigo-ray vibration, thus making contact with intelligent infinity and dissolving all illusions. Service-to-others is automatic at the released energy generated by this state of consciousness.”

OK, now does anybody have any questions about any of the topics that I have just shared with you? Or any questions about any portion of the Law of One or the Ra Contact?
