A couple years ago we were approached by the publisher of the Law of One books with an idea for a card deck based upon quotes from the material. After thoroughly considering the potential for service to the readership (as Law of One students ourselves, we would personally love a card deck of Ra quotes), we accepted the proposal and commenced the work.
Springboarding from the core premise that the deck would serve as a tool to help seekers connect with the Law of One, we began the journey of amassing what we subjectively felt were the most inspirational or meaningful Ra quotes for contemplation. Then, the challenging (and even painful) part: narrowing that collection down to forty quotes, one for each of the 40 cards in the deck.
Accompanying the deck, Austin created a booklet that contained the full context for each card quote, tips for using the deck, and brief spiritual reflections for each quote to help seed thoughts for contemplation, if desired by the seeker, along with an introduction from Jim.
This past year we wrapped up the whole process of editing, designing, and proofing the final product. Their artists created art thematic with the 40th-anniversary Law of One Box Set editions. Much to our relief and joy, their designers created what we feel is a truly quality product—we were very impressed when we received a final printed set.
It is a secondary resource that is not intended to take the place of a direct, individual relationship with the material itself. But for those who may be served by such a resource, we are excited to be able to offer the Law of One Contemplation Deck!
A note about the quotation inside the box: “Every being, every moment, and every experience is an expression of the One Infinite Creator.” This sentence comes from Jim’s contribution to the accompanying booklet. Because the publisher did not include an attribution, it may be mistaken as a direct quote from Ra. While the sentiment is fully harmonious with Ra’s message, accuracy matters to us. We weren’t consulted on this minor creative decision and are working to get a correction on the next print run with the publisher.
